Boast Rattle

A VERY DUMB IDEA / ROAST-STYLE COMPLIMENT CONTEST.

Created a few years ago and hosted by Kyle Ayers, comedians compete to see who can compliment one another in this showdown of sweetness, this clash of consideration, this barrage of benevolence. Playing off of the idea of roasts, Boast Rattle has two comedians go head-to-head, delivering alternating blows of the nicest order. Two rounds. One lucky crowd member who gets some on-the-spot boasting. One Champion of Charity, Master of Magnanimity.

Boast Rattle has been featured in the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, The Kennedy Center in DC, New York Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, Moontower Comedy Festival, and more. It has traveled coast to coast, and featured Andy Kindler, Martha Kelly, Eugene Mirman, Aparna Nancherla, Jo Firestone, Scott Adsit, John Early, Amy Miller, Nikki Glaser, Kate Berlant, Janelle James, and more.

Power Violence with Matt Braunger

Power Violence is one of Los Angeles's most beloved shows because it's insane, inventive and unlike your typical standup show. Whitmer Thomas, Budd Diaz and Clay Tatum serve up one of the most interesting shows in the country and we're so pumped to have them. Headlining this bad boy will be Comedy Central favorite and Chicago legend Matt Braunger! Matt crushed at the inaugural year of High Plains Comedy Festival at The Gothic Theater and we're pumped to have him back. Ian Abramson (LA/Chicago), David Gborie (LA/SF), Kate Willett (SF), Shane Torres (Portland/NY), and Ian Douglas Terry (Omaha/Denver), round out the KICKOFF STANDUP SHOW of the whole festival! The rowdiness will set the tone. Walk down after the pass pick-up party at Illegal Pete's!
