Ian Karmel is a homegrown Portland comedian who has been crowned breakout stand up in the New Faces category in Montreal’s prestigious Just for Laughs Festival. In 2010, Ian won Portland’s Amateur Comedy Competition and the Funniest Person in Portland in 2011 leading him to such opportunities as Moontower Comedy Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot and many more. He was also a writer and roundtable regular for E!’s Chelsea Lately, and made his first late night appearance on TBS’ Conan while appearing on season two of Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party in 2014. Additional television credits include IFC’s Portlandia, the Travel Channel’s Best Sandwich in America and Portland Trailblazers post-game analyst and commentator. Ian is currently a writer on The Late Late Show with James Corden and just released his newest album 9.2 on Pitchfork.
