Grew up in St. Louis, Missouri in a cardboard box underneath the Arch. Matt’s father was a lawyer and his mother was a virgin. Found stand-up in college and has been broke ever since. Started his comedy career doing church functions and crowded bathrooms across Missouri and Kansas. Feeling the urge for a new start, Matt built a raft made entirely of other stolen rafts and sailed down the mighty muddy to New Orleans. Found improv comedy shortly after moving to New Orleans at The New Movement. Moved to Denver. The Memphis comedy scene recently referred to him as the weirdest thing to hit their city since Neil Hamburger. Blending wit and sarcasm, his jokes have been called “topical” and “punny.” Can be seen doing standup and performing with sketch troupe The Agency all around town.
