Maria stars in Those Who Can't on truTV as Abbey Logan and joins the Festival as a special guest for the Those Who Can't table read.
Maria's film work includes the investigative drama State of Play, opposite Russell Crowe, Rachel McAdams and Ben Affleck, the romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, alongside Jason Segel, Kristen Bell and Paul Rudd, the frat comedy Accepted, starring Justin Long, Todd Solondz's Storytelling and the romantic comedy Hitch, starring Will Smith. Thayer also performed in the independent film Scratch, for which she won Best Actress at the Columbia Film Festival.
Her television credits include FOX's Traffic Light, House, 30 Rock, Nip/Tuck, CBS's Big Apple, BBC's 12:21, NBC's Miss Match, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the final episode of Will & Grace. She originated the character of Tammi Littlenut on Strangers with Candy on Comedy Central and reprised her role in the summer 2006 film adaptation.
Born on a bee farm in Boring, Oregon, to a family allergic to bees, Maria later studied performing arts at The Juilliard School.
