Mara Wiles is a stand-up comic and actress from Denver, Colorado. Mara’s style is intelligently goofy injected with energy and witty asides that makes every performance feel different from the one before. Her pursuit for a life of jokes has let her perform regularly at Comedy Works in Denver and all the best alternative rooms in all the hippest cities in North America. Mara has opened for Andy Kindler, Jackie Kashian and Kurt Braunohler, just to name a few. Mara has been featured on Viceland’s Flophouse and Hidden America with Jonah Ray. Mara has performed at Crom Omaha, The Comedy Exposition and her hometown fest, High Plains Comedy Festival. Mara won best comic at the 2011 Laugh Tracks Comedy Festival and was named one of 2014’s 100 Colorado Creatives by Westword. Mara produces and hosts Mara Wiles and the Funky Brunch and the Funnyside Sessions with co-producer Kevin O'Brien. When she isn’t telling jokes she is usually pretending to get into yoga, walking dogs or reading Real Simple magazine.
