Heralded by the Westword as "The dark-hearted prince of Colfax," Greg Baumhauer cut his comedy teeth on America’s longest (and dirtiest) street over 11 years ago. He quickly became one of Denver’s best and brightest up-and-coming comedians, winning five Best of Denver comedy awards in his first six years, as well as breaking out of the hospital with two broken hands to win the Comedy Works’ New Faces Contest in 2007, only to return right after for two more surgeries. What Baumhauer is most known for though is running the legendary Squire Lounge for over seven years. Dubbed “the Meanest Mic In America,” the infamous show launched (and ended) many comedy careers such as Troy Walker, Bobby Crane, and Kevin O’Brien, to name a few. Greg’s foul-mouthed, smooth delivery has made him a local favorite and a Comedy Works regular.
