In 2015 David burst onto the Colorado Comedy scene when he took First Place in the Denver Comedy Works' 19th annual New Faces Competition (previous winners include Adam Cayton-Holland and Josh Blue). Then, several months later, he proved it was no fluke by taking first place out of a field of over 100 comedians in the Stand-up Showdown at the Denver Improv.
He is the recent winner of several awards including "Favorite Newcomer" in the 2015 Denver Comedy Awards, and has been featured in SCENE magazine, 5280 magazine, and The Coloradoan, for his stand-up and contributions to the Northern Colorado Comedy scene. He has also been seen on PBS, and heard on 90.5 KCSU.
Audiences of all ages and backgrounds respond to his vibrant comedic style, which is a mix of animated story-telling and acerbic insights into being a responsible young parent in a generation where growing up is generally frowned upon. He very proudly does not have any Tinder jokes and still does not totally know what SnapChat is.
When he is not writing or performing he is at home cleaning up stuff that his kids have either broken or made real sticky.
